Hello + welcome! My name is Celia. (It's not short for Cecilia - it's always been Celia.) I work as an artist [painter] + aerialist. I mostly work in oils these days, though I once did a good bit of photography. I also do some silversmithing... you can find that by clicking here: Lavender + Sky. I have been creating from the time I was young. I grew up on a fairly secluded mountain and had a lot of time to create. My parents taught me to use carpentry tools, sew, to make functional items, + art from scratch. My mom had a pottery studio in the house when I was a child. And, it was in my childhood when I fell in love with Impressionism; I was particularly inspired by French Impressionist painter, Berthe Morisot. My degrees are in art, design, and dance - from Appalachian State University. I am blessed to reside in the blue + beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Oh yeah... I love animals!
